Kongkast is back this week with one of Sydney’s Junglists – MISREE (JungleTrain.net / Sydney Australia)!

Having played with Misree back in the early 2000, Kongkretebass is well familiar with Misree’s jungle sounds, and we have always been impressed by her unique sounds as one of the heavy hitters from Australia.

A regular face in the Drum&Bass scene in Sydney, Misree has been heavily involved, playing along side the top local deejays as well as names like Noisia, Chris Inperspective, Micky Finn, Sci-Phi and Remark.
Currently hosts her own radio show on 24/7 drum&bass radio – http://www.jungletrain.net. Misree showcases her trademarks edited breaks, amen, drumfunk styles, and more recently the deeper minimal styles.

About MISREE:
Coming from a strong musical background it’s no surprise that Misree started dj-ing drum&bass in 1998 landing her first gig whilst living in Sweden.

Moving to London in 1999 Australian born Misree resided here for the next 1.5 years soaking up the drum&bass party culture and vibe in dnb motherland, she then returned to Australia where she would continue to dj at such parties as Airbourne, DNBBQ & weekly Haunts of ‘Inhale’, Konkrete Jungle weekly and monthly sessions, DSS Sound System raves, 2Flies sound system raves, No Frills evens, Co.Deep as well as many one off parties.

Over the years Misree has been seen dj-ing alongside such International artists as Noisia, Chris Inperspective, Micky Finn, Sci-Phi and Remark.  Misree has also been featured for exclusive sets on Aus FBI radio, SBS Alchemy radio and Radio Bondi FM.  In 2007 Misree had the pleasure of dj-ing along side London drum&bass party ‘Rupture’ promotors, dj’s and producers Mantra and Double O on two occasions on their Rupture show on London drum&bass radio station UKBass Radio.

Misrees love for drum&bass lies in the edited breaks, amen and drumfunk styles, and more recently the deeper minimal styles.  Blending amen to minimal and all sounds deep in between.  Bridging the gap between peoples specific tastes in drum&bass, blending different styles to appease her entire audience.
