This week’s podcast comes from Brad Pitch a DJ/producer from Dresden, Germany.
He is one of the first artists our DJ Elemiz instantly connected with upon her return to Dresden exactly one year ago. They have since been able to play a few events together, from small bar to student party to the largest and most vibrant street culture festival – the Bunte Republic Neustadt.
Brad Pitch’s early background in hip hop and beat culture reflects in his eclectic taste in modern electronic music, which makes his Dj sets as well as his own productions diverse and special.
We’ve asked Brad Pitch to compile a mix of his favourite grooves in dubstep and here we present it to you.

About Chefkoch aka Brad Pitch:
Brad Pitch is a producer and DJ from Dresden, Germany.
While growing up in the 80s, Brad Pitch is heavily influenced by Hip Hop culture, inspired by the movie “Beat Street”. With his first set of Technics, and the guidance of DJ “Studio 17”, he started out spinning hip hop beats in the mid 90s. A few years onwards, Brad Pitch ventured into producing first own tracks on a Tascam-multi-track recorder. Much later in 2005, he continued experimenting with hip hop beats and mash-ups, until he discovered Dubstep and UK Garage.
In 2011, young Dresden-based label “Mooose Records” released 2 EPs with tracks by Brad Pitch: Audiophil EP (Mooose010) and Disco EP (Mooose012) – embracing influences of Techno, Deep House, Disco and Dubstep styles.
Besides producing, Brad Pitch also co-hosts a monthly radio show called “Ruffbeatz” together with “Cast 43” on ColoRadio Dresden, featuring genres from Funk, Hip Hop, Electrofunk to Drum ‘n Bass, Dubstep and UK Funky.
His latest project is named DD Funky together with fellow producer “Mirsch and his machines”. Keep an ear out for news!
