New FutureBass mix: Kongkast # 160 – feat. ELEMIZ (Sonic Step Sisters, Kongkrete Bass, fut:r / Dresden, Germany)
It’s done! Another year packed with exciting fresh  music comes to an end.
This year we celebrated KONGKAST’s 5th anniversary with 30 DJ mixes from across Asia-Pacific, Europe and the USA. We thank every single artist for being part of it. And we thank you all for tuning in every time and sending your feedback – it means a lot to us and keeps us rolling! In case you’ve missed a few sets, go grab them from the big vault on either iTunes or here:Â http://kongkretebass.com/
Now for the final mix of 2011, and long overdue, Kongkretebass co-founder  ELEMIZ is back with a selection of Future Bass treats, this time  ranging from 80’s tinged housey vibes to more sub-heavy, dubby rollers.
Since her last KONGKAST mix middle of 2010, and after almost a decade living in Asia, Elemiz has relocated to her native Germany and continues pushing the bass vibes in her new home Dresden. Within the past year, she has been able to establish herself as a regular face around the DJ circuit in her own city, hosting her own nights as well as playing a number of gigs around the region. For 2012, Elemiz has a few fresh ideas in store for promotion as well as picking up some studio work again. Stay tuned!
We are wishing you all a great finish to 2011 and the best year yet in 2012! Stay happy, healthy and bass-heavy always!

About ELEMIZ:
Elemiz (aka Electronic Mistress) is DJ and co-founder of Kongkretebass. She plays a blend of bass music styles, with the constant quest to inspire her audience with the depth of broken beats and low frequencies.
Her first activism in electronic dance music came about in Hong Kong, where since 2006 her event & promotion crew Kongkretebass has been instrumental in cultivating the Drum and Bass and Dubstep – a sound that is now a fixed staple in the city’s alternative nightlife. The crew also runs the world-wide popular KONGKAST Dj mix podcast, Asia’s largest dnb and dubstep podcast.
Elemiz originally picked up DJing in late 2007, to open for her own events, but soon saw herself travelling to guest appearances throughout Hong Kong, Shanghai, Shenzhen and also Bangkok, Thailand.
With natural curiousity, Elemiz progressed to first steps in studio production. Her first remix of Don Goliath’s ‘Mrs U’ was released on Berlin-based Dubstep Division Recordings in May 2009. More tracks and collaborations are evolving.
The past year has been a journey of transition, as Elemiz now continues life in her hometown Dresden, Germany.
Getting familiar with the microcosm of the city and beyond opens a whole new world of possibilities and musical influences. Finding new friends and associates in the scene has helped her start hosting own Dj nights and play various small clubs and festivals throughout the year. In 2012, Elemiz is determined to keep the fire going and push things further with some of her projects: sonic step sisters, zoom and fut:r. Change is constant, stay tuned.
