In a journey spanning from Drum and Bass to Dubstep, Matt-U has been transforming his sound into some serious dancefloor business over the years. With his heavy neuro-bassline dubstep productions he has recently got much attention from the likes of N-Type, TRG, Luke Envoy, Tes La Rok and many more. With a number of new heavy releases forthcoming, Matt-U is definitely an artist to look out for.

This week on Kongkretebass Kongkast – KONGKAST #82 delivers a heavy Dubstep mix straight out of Shanghai China.
DJ Deville (Uprooted Sunshine Shanghai) is one of the leading Dubstep Deejays based in Shanghai. Playing some of the heaviest dance floor fillers at his residency club (one of Kongkretebass’ favorite clubs in Asia) THE SHELTER.

DJ Deville – originally from Geneva, Switzerland, has been heavily involved in the Funk and Hip Hop scene since 1997.Since moving to China in 2006, he has been spotted playing at various big venues and festivals such as The Shelter (Club) and Modern Sky Festival.

As a resident Deejay for the “UpRooted Sunshine Crew” in Shanghai, Deville as supported some of the biggest names in reggae, funk, hip hop and dubstep scene.

Bam… KONGKAST is 80! Thanks for all good messages and constant support from our listeners… It always rocks to hear back from you.

Yes, we are switching up our sound a bit, bringing more bass-heavy music from the dubstep territories. KONGKAST #80 comes with a deep mix from Cyrus (Random Trio), one of the pioneering Dj/ producers in Dubstep music.

Nursing his very distinctive style since the early beginnings of Dubstep, Cyrus is best known for his immensely powerful, sparse and sub-heavy tracks. As a main fixture in the UK dubstep scene, Cyrus has been pushing his sound across the board, not only being a successful producer and label owner, but also as pirate radio host on legendary station Rinse FM, as well as DJing at top UK nights DMZ, Sub Dub, FWD, and across the world. The desire for his sub atomic bass weight is constantly in demand!

The KONGKAST#80 dubstep special is one of Cyrus’ first mix-sets out of his new studio, packed to the rim with many of his latest killer productions… Many thanks & big up Cyrus for putting together this set for KONGKAST – Hong Kong’s dnb podcast!

Our guest mix this week is of a different flavour than usual. KONGKAST#79 features a dubstep selection by DJ Zuju from Macau, China….

Since back in the days, Zuju has been one of the pioneering Drum and Bass DJs in Macau, but in the recent year, him and his good friend N1D discovered an unheard genre in Macau called DUBSTEP” they quickly caught on and started experimenting with this new and exciting sound.
