“A unique outreach project to encourage economically oppressed, Asian women’s voices to be heard – within their on communities as well as on a global scale.”

WISE is a new project from THE ASIAN LEGAL RESOURCE CENTRE (ALRC) and their partner oganisation, THE ASIAN HUMAN RIGHTS COMMISSION. The ALRC is an NGO which has General Consultative status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations.
WISE empowers and equips socially & economically disadvantaged women in Asian countries. From WISE’s community workers, these women will learn to voice out their concerns, share their experiences and advocate their rights by using modern technology (internet, video, social online platforms). In doing so, WISE, hope to attract attention and appeal for support for these women from an international community.

The WISE project will officially launch on July 11th, 2010
