Welcome to the 2013 KONGKAST series!

After a much needed break, we start our 2013 series with couple of BANG! BANG! ~~Trap Stylez~~
YES! We start off the series with an exclusive Trap mix by one of our new connections in Hamburg, Germany –  PHOKUS (WOBWOB! , Police In Helicopter, Scrub A Dub, Saturate Records / Hamburg, Germany).

The Hamburg-Germany based bass-music producer / Promoter / DJ started with DrumnBass, TripHop and Garage. And in 2004 he got infected by grime & dubstep through internet-radio-shows. With his first release 2006 on MG77-RECORDINGS featuring the UK Grime MCs TINCHY STRYDER and DIRTY DANGER. Since then, Phokus have had releases on labels like POLICE IN HELICOPTER, SCRUB A DUB and SATURATE RECORDS.

In this KONGKAST, Phokus’ diversity is shown with a combination of several styles of bass-music, concentrates mostly on Trap-Music.

PHOKUS is a Hamburg-Germany based bass-music producer and dj. He started with DrumnBass, TripHop and Garage. In 2004 he got infected by grime & dubstep through internet-radio-shows, started making his own grime & dubstep beats and buying records again. In 2006 PHOKUS released his first 12″ on MG77-RECORDINGS featuring the uk grime mcs TINCHY STRYDER and DIRTY DANGER. Releases on different labels like POLICE IN HELICOPTER, SCRUB A DUB or SATURATE RECORDS followed.

In his sets he combines several styles of bass-music, in this KONGKAST he concentrates mostly on Trap-Music.
At the moment PHOKUS is collaborating a lot with Hamburgs DJ GRAPES and will release 2 EPs of their work very soon.
He played sets alongside artists like: OM UNIT, RASHAD & SPINN, SLICK SHOOTER, GOTH TRAD, RUSKO, SKREAM, THE GASLAMP KILLER, DGITAL MYSTIKZ, KODE 9, DJ PINCH, THE BUG, MARYANNE HOBBS and many more.

Together with THE NEXT, VINYLIZER, DJ DENEH and MC URBANO he is promoting the regular WOBWOB! night in Hamburg since 2007. In 2012 PHOKUS started a second clubnight called “DAAAMN SON” together with Hamburgs CRUNKY COOL MARTINA, GRAPES and SHORTY BANKS, featuring Trap, Rap and Dirty South Hip Hop.
