Following the success of last year’s event, Jungle Bells ’07 will once again accelerate Hong Kong drum & bass lovers’ hearts to a whopping 170bpm! Featuring a fine selection of this city’s Junglist DJs, who will be sharing the turntables for one night, dropping dance floor smashers as well as special home-grown treats fresh from their own studios!

*Keeping with the tradition, Jungle Bells 2007 will again be donating proceeds of the night to a selected charity.*

Blood Dunza {heavy}
Blood Dunza is an original HK Junglist DJ and producer, who can be seen laying down his signature Ragga-Jungle sets at almost every DNB gig around town. Whilst being a resident DJ with Magnetic Soul, he created is very own night, HEAVY, in early 2006. HEAVY is a club night dedicated to the darker, heavier side of drum & bass and offers a playground for newly emerging artists in and around Hong Kong.

DJ Le Libertin started music in Paris 1996. From small private parties to outdoor raves across Europe, his experiences from both famous clubs and “underground” parties made him a DJ and producer with a very eclectic selection of electronic music, dedicated to the crowd! His passion for travel and mix of different cultures brought him to HK and China, soon playing for Live Acts and organising the Hong Kong Club Tour in 2006.
Le Libertin definitely knows how to make people move on a dance floor!
Style: Electro, Techno, BreakBeat, Drum N Bass, Tribal, Hard Tekno.

In 2004, Le Libertin (aka Art Off Man) enlarged his scope, by opening his own production house, with his second vinyl released in 2005.

Arkham can be called by many names, but he’s undoubtedly the “longest-standing Junglist in the city” (Hong Kong). Under his monthly Red Label night at musical establishment Yumla, he loyally nurtures bass-heavy sounds beyond the 4/4 beat.

DJ Wash is DJ/producer cum promoter. He grew into a scene of breaks and DNB in Sydney, Australia, before appearing in the Hong Kong DNB scene. His fast moving, highly energetic sets sparkle with a wide spectrum of tunes. Rollers, Jump-up, tech, liquid – DJ Wash’s diversity is always a crowd pleaser!

When not behind the decks, DJ Wash dedicates most his time to studio work and also runs ‘Kongkast’ – Hong Kong’s only DNB podcast. It is recorded weekly in the Hong Kong studios. With the 50th episode due in the coming weeks…

Fresh to DJing, Electronic Mistress is determined to surprise the crowd with some new tricks and flicks at the switches. And as Ms Kongkrete, she hopes for another truly wicked mash up night with this year’s Jungle Bells!

Reggie Fox {kinky beats}
DJ/poducer Reggie Fox has came a long way from spinning acid house and minimal techno to nu-breaks and Jungle/Drum & Bass performing in his native France, UK, Spain, Portugal and now Hong Kong. Today Reggie is a versatile Dj that delivers fresh and energic sets at the forefront of dance music. He performs several musical genres including: Breaks, House, Techno, Minimal, Drum&Bass, Dubstep, Grime and HipHop.

With his newly founded Drum & Bass label Kinky Beats, he is planning to add interesting collaborations following his 3 recent maxi releases (KB001, KB002, KB003, distribution: Cyber, Toolbox).

Stef:funn {heavy, eclectism}
Stef:funn’s strong musical background as a professional drummer for Hong Kong’s most prominent Rock & Pop artists has taken him on travels around Asia, Europe and the US.

Influenced by rock, funk, jazz & raggae, Stef:fun only recently extended his musical horizon by spinning drum & bass records. He has since supported numerous gigs for local crews Heavy, Eclectism and Kongkretebass. With the latest stint at Yumla, alongside Magnetic Soul DJs.

At this years’ Jungle Bells drum & bass shakedown he’s hoping to rock it hard & heavy, mosh-pit style!

Synertia {merck records}
Synertia has been spinning drum and bass in the US for over 6 years and loves DJing in Hong Kong. He plays a diverse mix of all types of dnb: liquid, dark, and dancefloor. In his past year of living in Hong Kong he has had a great time playing out and looks forward to help spread the DnB sound throughout the city.

Kastoacha/Mc z1BKR {eclectism}

DJ/Producer/MC/Vocalist and promoter in Hong Kong, Kastoacha is also the catalyst behind the sound of club night Eclectism and resident DJ at HEAVY. He plays a neural tech punk mashup of dnb, dubstep, breaks and electro, with some random classics thrown in. Whilst occasionally MCing live at dnb nights as z1bkr, he can be found spitting out all types of subliminal nu-speak rhetoric.
