About Patch:

Patch is known and loved in Adelaide and Australia for his impeccable mixing ability and dynamic track selection. He has a reputation for “blitzing the touring internationals” and it has been said by many that “he is the best Drum N Bass DJ in Australia.”

Receiving ‘Most Popular Drum & Bass DJ” Award at the South Australian Dance Music Awards 2003/04/05/06 & polled in the top 5 (out of 5 South Australians) for inthemix.com.au Most Popular Australian DJ Poll 2005/06 – he was among only two dnb dj’s listed nationwide. When it rains it pours but the SA Dance Awards were scrapped after 06 so unfortunately the reign stopped. Patch is not a DJ that can be pigeonholed into one sub genre of drum and bass or even purely into drum and bass, although dnb is where he has his roots most firmly planted.

His ability to make the smoothest transition from the liquid and cruisy style of dnb to the harder edgier tracks is rarely matched by other DJs. Patch leaves crowds wanting more every time he steps up behind the decks, not just in his hometown of Adelaide but across the country at some of the hottest venues – Heat, Drum Club, Frequency, Swan Barracks – Perth, Bass Jump, Jungle Run, Soulaar, Blaze, the Lounge, Revolver, Federation Square, Pure, Brown Alley, Laundry, Metro – Melbourne, Halo – Hobart, plus gigs at Paradise In Bali, Friction’s Shogun Audio night @ Audio Brighton UK and the legendary Thursday sessions with Jade & Matt U in Budapest, Hungary. Playing at the massive rock music Falls Festival in the mid naughties and touring with some of Australia’s best DJ’s & live acts in the Nokia Terminal 9 Tour have allowed Patch to showcase his break beat sounds to appreciative audiences that may not have been exposed to the genre if it weren’t for the promoters’ belief in his ability to captivate and motivate an energetic crowd response.

Patch has played and continues to play with some of the biggest international dnb DJs such as Andy C, Marky, Pendulum, Ed Rush, Optical, Friction, Storm, Bailey, Concord Dawn, Trace, Fierce, Break, TeeBee, Calyx, Calibre, Shimon, Big Bud, Sonic, London Electricity, Goldie, Bryan G, DJ Lee, Mampi Swift, Roni Size, Dillinja, Lemon D, Kenny Ken, Grooverider, Klute, Chris SU + more. “He’s one of the few DJs that can follow up after an international act and keep the dance floor full.” In between gigs and making music, Patch features monthly on the weekly radio show – ‘Rollerz’ on Fresh FM 92.7mhz from 8 -10pm.

These days Patch is promoting his forthcoming label night “SAUCE” and is taking it from strength to strength. With so many opportunities and projects on the go it will be interesting to see and hear what Patch comes up with next…one thing is for sure, based on previous ventures – and that’s that he will continue to have the crowd rocking.
