New music, emerging artists, live events, dj showcases – a sonic mission in a wonderland of electronica.

After following the festival from a 10,000 kilometre distance in past years, Kongkretebass now have the opportunity to experience the influential SONAR festival live on location!

For 3 days, from 18-20th June, we will be part of 80.000 fans, press and artists who gather in Barcelona (Spain) to revel in the latest sonic creations and visuals from the world of electronic music and multimedia art.

Among snooping around in the extensively assorted lineup – with 283 artists from 27 countries – there are two showcases we are looking forward to in particular – BBC Introducing and Mary Anne Hobbs’ Dubstep Extravaganza with Bristols heavyweight Joker, LA’s Gaslamp Killer and dutchman Martyn.

It will surely be an overwhelming and surreal experience in a wonderland of electronica. And we’re looking forward to a 3-day journey of discovery and getting side-tracked by the many visual and audio stimuli throughout the festival.
