For those who has been tuning into KONGKAST for some time now will remember KONGKAST #_75- DJ DisasZt (Mainframe Recordings, AudioPorn/ Austria).

For those who are in Hong Kong would know that Kongkretebass’ DJ Wash have always enjoyed smashing the DisasZt tunes in the dance, and it’s no surprise we have been looking forward to DisasZt’s debut album on his own imprint – MAINFRAME RECORDINDS!

Here’s a few samples of what’s to come. Expect this to BLOW UP.

DisasZt first steps as a DJ back in the mid-90s has dedicated the last 15 years of his life to furthering drum & bass in his homeland and beyond, tirelessly DJing, promoting, running the globally respected label Mainframe Recordings, discovering and pushing Camo & Krooked and, of course, producing premium quality D&B alongside some of Europe’s very best artists.

Ten years after his debut productions began to make their mark DisasZt is now ready to release his debut album – ‘Shadow & Lightning’ – on his own Mainframe imprint. Featuring 16 tracks that demonstrate the full variety of D&B in 2011, the album sees DisasZt join forces with a raft of producers from both around the world and his homeland, and acts as an impressive demonstration of both the modern health of the genre and its globe-spanning influence. New Zealand’s Trei, Hungary’s Chris SU, fellow Austrians Kos, Treo and Tenchu, and of course regular DisasZt studio partner and one-time Ram Trilogy member Shimon are just some of the collaborators onboard, bringing with them the fresh influence and inspiration needed to make ‘Shadow & Lightning’ really stand out from the crowd.

Anile has been producing for little over 3 years, styles of tracks differ which shows versatility and maturity within the studio, from Ambient tracks like ‘Lessons To Become’ and ‘Never Together’ and harder tracks like ‘Orthodox’ & ‘Glass of Greed’.

Playing gigs all over Europe and further, Anile has pushed his sound internationally, with mass recognition through out the world, with exceptional releases under drum n Bass’s finest labels.
In 2011, Anile was asked to join the fresh sound of TEMAH, bringing his sound to an all ready diverse and talented group of producers and Mc’s.

New Drum & Bass mix: Kongkast # 140 – feat. FICTION (Inbound Records / Adelaide , Australia)

This week on Kongkast, one of  Adelaide, Australia’s top deejay / producers – FICTION (Inbound Records / Adelaide , Australia).

As a pioneer of Australia’s drum n bass scene , Fiction began dropping jungle back in 1994, in the last 16 years, he has supported just about every international to grace Australia over the last 16 years, including the likes of Andy C, Grooverider, Fabio, Friction, Bailey, Bukem, Marky, Calibre, Fierce, Noisia, Teebee, Klute and D Bridge just to name a few as well as having played in New Zealand and he is regularly headlining interstate events.

As highly respected deejay, Fiction was  nominated for most popular dnb dj at the Sadma’s and has also made the top ten dj’s (overall) for the “In The Mix “dj poll in his home town of Adelaide.

In 1998 Fiction formed “Inbound” with his close friend filter . Over the last 13 years they have become renowned for hosting some of the most unforgettable drum ‘n’ bass shows in Adelaide, featuring the best of local and international talent, which has become the pinnacle of the scene.

Kongkast is back this week with one of Sydney’s Junglists – MISREE (JungleTrain.net / Sydney Australia)!

Having played with Misree back in the early 2000, Kongkretebass is well familiar with Misree’s jungle sounds, and we have always been impressed by her unique sounds as one of the heavy hitters from Australia.

A regular face in the Drum&Bass scene in Sydney, Misree has been heavily involved, playing along side the top local deejays as well as names like Noisia, Chris Inperspective, Micky Finn, Sci-Phi and Remark.
Currently hosts her own radio show on 24/7 drum&bass radio – http://www.jungletrain.net. Misree showcases her trademarks edited breaks, amen, drumfunk styles, and more recently the deeper minimal styles.

Voxfire Gallery is excited to present “Among the Lambs Clothed in White” an art exhibition showcasing two rising artists: visual artist NML and musician-poet Rebearth.

ALCW is a magical story about the search for “Life’s Happiness” – uniquely told through paintings, music, poetry, and sculptures. It will be a multi-faceted exhibition where visitors will be guided through imaginative paintings, stimulating rhythms and thought-provoking poetry.

After the exhibit, visitors will have the opportunity to own a piece of the experience through Limited Edition ALCW Collector sets and lithographs.

For this special exhibition, we will be hosting TWO opening party events to accommodate all art lovers.

Saturday Opening Party:
SATURDAY April 30, 2011 – 4:00pm – 6:00pm
